LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The release date of ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is just around the corner and fans are really excited to take another journey to the magical world of Pandora in the most epic way possible. The first ‘Avatar’ movie, which was released in 2009, was ground-breaking in many ways and shattered all box office records to become the first movie to touch the $2 billion mark at the box office. Viewers believe that the second film in the franchise would also wreak havoc at the box office and it seems they are right because the James Cameron directorial is predicted to win the opening weekend with gigantic numbers.

According to estimates, the second movie in the ‘Avatar’ franchise is expected to earn $150 million-$175 million domestically in its opening weekend, making it one of the biggest openings of the year 2022, per Deadline. The figures also mean that the second film is on track to earn more than double what the first film earned during its opening weekend.
