Camilla Francisquini: Baby girl murdered by her own father laid to rest as cops hunt killer dad

Naugatuck police revealed said little Camilla was laid to rest in a private ceremony surrounded by family and loved ones on Saturday, November 26. "We recognize that a loss such as this has a profound impact on both our officers and our community. We will continue to seek justice for Camilla and put forth every effort to apprehend her murderer," they said in a statement.

Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Christopher Francisquini on charges of murder with special circumstances and risk of injury to a minor. Meanwhile, his bond has been set at $5 million, according to NBC Connecticut.

Authorities revealed how Camilla was choked, stabbed, and dismembered on Friday, November 18. Police Chief McAllister called the crime "horrific and gruesome," and said it was one of the most difficult and trying cases the department has ever investigated.

According to police, Christopher and the baby's biological mother were embroiled in a dispute in Waterbury before Naugatuck police were called. The suspect allegedly removed his GPS monitor in an effort to evade law enforcement, investigators believe. The car he was believed to be driving was found abandoned on Interstate 91 in New Haven near Exit 8 last week. Police scoured the area of Foxon Boulevard but could not locate him. Investigators said Christopher lived in the home on Millville Avenue with his daughter. Police released surveillance images earlier this month of a person they believed to be the suspect walking on Quinnipiac Avenue in New Haven. They said the images were captured at around 4 pm on Friday.

The police description of Christopher Francisquini lists him as being 6 feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. Authorities said the suspect is known to law enforcement and has an extensive criminal record that spans a decade. He was reportedly on special parole at the time of the incident and as mentioned, a tracking device has been cut off, per police. That said, the FBI is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the perp's capture and prosecution.
