Beyonce, who is currently basking in the success of her seventh solo album ‘Renaissance’, is not done serving her fans as she surprised them with ‘The Queens Remix’ of her hit single ‘Break My Soul’ on Friday, August 5. Beyonce decided to rope in pop queen Madonna for her latest release which quickly sent the Internet into a meltdown. This also marked the very first collaboration of Beyonce and Madonna.

The newly-released single of Queen Bey also made headlines when the fans noticed that the Grammy-winning crooner name-dropped a bunch of Black icons including Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Solange Knowles, Aaliyah, Rosetta Tharpe, Santigold, Bessie Smith, and a few others. Beyonce might have collaborated with Madonna on the new one but the latter did not really record new vocals. Madonna’s vocals from her 1990 hit single ‘Vogue’ were added to the song in the form of a sample. For the unversed, Beyonce has already dropped four remixes of ‘Break My Soul’ featuring will.i.am, Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon and Nita Aviance.
