LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss has died after allegedly suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday, December 13. The news was confirmed by his wife Allison Holker Boss who referred to him as the most important member of the family: "He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans." The 40-year-old dance icon soared to fame on the show 'So You Think You Can Dance' and as a guest DJ for The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2014, and eventually went on to become a permanent member until the very end. Moreover, he was designated co-executive producer in 2020.

He rose to fame as a contestant on 'So You Think You Can Dance in 2008', where he also met his wife who was a co-contestant for the show. "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us," said Boss' wife, Allison Holker Boss. She adds, "Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt."
