BOONE COUNTY, IOWA: A deputy in Iowa has been under criminal inquiry after his police K-9 died after being left in his patrol car for almost a whole day. As per experts, it is estimated that the temperature inside the vehicle reached triple digits. According to recent court records, Bear, a police dog that worked as a K-9 officer for the Boone County Sheriff's Office in an area just north of Des Moines, died in September.

According to a search warrant that was made public last week, Bear died after being left in Sgt Dallas Wingate's truck for about 22 hours, from around 10 pm on September 1 to about 8 pm on September 2.
