Will DC greenlight a 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' movie? Franchise reportedly had event planned before WB merger
'Crisis on Infinite Earths' was one of DC's major crossover events and was looked at as a massive event since it was introduced in 'The Flash's pilot season. Going by the comics, the series was a 12-issue mini-series that focused on the greatest battle in cosmic history. And before the WB merger, DC Films reportedly had plans to make a movie of the event.
DC has been hamstrung by the recent spate of negative news it's found itself embroiled in. From the cancellation of 'Batgirl' to Ezra Miller's never-ending troubles, it's been a tough couple of months for the superhero franchise. Per a report by THR, WB Discovery's proposed '10-year-plan' for the DC Universe is still unclear, but reportedly had plans for a 'Crisis' event that was part of DC Films president Walter Hamada's plans who almost quit after 'Batgirl's quashing.
