CLEARWATER, FLORIDA: Denise Richards honored her 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' co-star Kirstie Alley after her death at the age of 71 following a secret battle with colon cancer. She on December 5 at her home in Florida. On December 6, the 'RHOBH' alum took to Instagram to express her feelings. “Kirstie is one of the funniest, nicest & strongest women I’ve ever met,” she wrote. “I am so lucky & grateful that I got to do a movie with her playing my mom. I was quite intimidated to work with her but she immediately made me feel so comfortable." Richards posted a caption with an image from the 1999 film 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' that she and Alley were in.

Richards, Alley, Kirsten Dunst, Ellen Barkin, and Allison Janney starred in the mockumentary, which followed the competitors in a small-town beauty pageant. Alley played Richards' stage mother as she portrayed the pageant winner.
