MySpace had every reason to trend on Twitter after President Donald Trump's official Twitter handle and Facebook accounts were suspended for breaking rules against glorifying violence. These suspensions follow after his account was initially blocked for posting a string of tweets misleading users about the results of the presidential election and also encouraging the mob that stormed the Capitol on Wednesday (January 6) that had devastating effects and became a topic of discussion globally.

With Trump's social media accounts now deactivated, the joke on Twitter is if he would scramble on to his MySpace account next. "@realDonaldTrump has lost his Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. At least he still has MySpace," read one of the tweets. This was seconded by another who wrote: "Trump has been permanently banned from Twitter, and at least temporarily from Facebook. I honestly don't know if it's a joke, but they say MySpace too. #WhyIsTrumpStillPresident."
