Elon Musk slammed for bankruptcy warning for Twitter staff, trolls say 'the $8 ticket people got his back'

Twitter acquisition by Musk started on April 14, 2022, and concluded on October 27, 2022. He began buying shares of the social media platform in January 2022, and eventually became the company's largest shareholder in April with a 9.1 percent ownership stake. 

Twitter erupted after Musk launched the poll. While some trolled him, others cited reasons for why they would vote "yes" or "no." "Regardless of the outcome, this is the most insecure tweet any of us will ever live to see," one user wrote. Another said, "My bet is on him already being told that he needs to step down." "Polls like this are biased towards whoever follows you. If they were ever going to be legitimate they would appear at the top of every users screen," one user said. 

"I vote no. Because you show that you want to improve. Own your mistakes. Move forward. Improve!" one user wrote, while another said, "I hope you are Joking because this doesn’t make sense at all Twitter is much better now that you own it." "Yes. This is not your comparative advantage. Make electric cars and tunnels and space flights instead!" one user said.
