A total of 43 percent of users voted “now” on a poll when Elon Musk asked when should the accounts that revealed his exact, real-time location should be unsuspended. He tweeted with a poll of options, "Now, Tomorrow, Seven days from now, [or] longer." In another tweet after half an hour, he wrote, “Sorry, too many options. Will redo poll” and scrapped the poll and asked again with a new poll giving two options, “Now" or "In seven days." However, he got badly trolled with one of many saying, "Vox populi vox dei, right buddy?"

The troll continued with one saying, "So basically vox populi, vox dei UNLESS vox populi is something Elon doesn't like Elon is champion of nothing." Another wrote, "He’s redoing the poll because he didn’t get his desired result. Vox Populi, Vox Dei?" One more commented, "Polls should come with a default option ‘let me see the results’ or ‘let me put my own reason.’"
