Eva Longoria reveals 'crazy' amount of gray in her hair in quarantine video, applies cover-up spray to hide it
Since the coronavirus crisis has locked most of us in our homes, celebrities, like us, are coming up with new ideas to keep themselves entertained through their social media posts. Eva Longoria too has taken to Instagram to showcase her life in quarantine to her fans.
On Tuesday, April 21, she posted a video of herself on her Instagram page, sharing an honest moment with her fans as she revealed her gray hair. In the post, the 'Desperate Housewives' star candidly showed the gray strands of hair to her 7.8 million followers as she gave tips on what she does to combat the unwanted silver locks. "Look at all this gray. THIS IS CRAZY," the actress says at the beginning. She also had a solution for her gray hair. “Don’t blink or you’ll miss the magic!!!” she captioned the clip.
Continuing further, the actress said: “If you've been following me, you know that I've been going grey” while telling her fans that her way of getting rid of her gray hair is by using a coverup spray.
"Ah!" Longoria yells to the camera as she applied a Loreal spray bottle to her roots, "Look, oh my God. You can't even tell.” The businesswoman is an ambassador for L'Oreal Paris. She tagged the brand in her post.
Her tip on covering gray hair was approved by many of her followers, including some celebrities who are also struggling with their hair amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “This is a must-have!!!" tennis star Serena Williams commented, while actress Olivia Munn complimented the star as she said, "This stuff is amazing!! Your hairline still looks natural too.”
Last Thursday, April 16, Longoria appeared in an Instagram live chat with her publicist and actor friend Jaime Camil, as they both self-isolated at home. During the show, the activist joked that she did not mind staying at home because she “doesn't like people”, while Camil shared that the toilet paper shortage perplexed him. To which Longoria replied: “I know! But I have one of those fancy toilets so I actually don't even use that much toilet paper.”
“It washes. It dries. It swirls. It has an oscillator thingy... so I'm good!” she added while explaining the design of her state-of-the-art bathroom appliance. She also insisted that panic buying amid the public global health crisis is not the answer.
“You don't need 75 rolls of toilet paper! You don't need 75 portions of chicken! If you buy all the hand sanitizer, there won't be any more for anyone else. And that's how the virus spreads!”
“'Now is a time to stay home. But also to be kind to others. Check on your elderly neighbor to see if they have food. Cook them something and take it around. Just wear gloves!” she concluded.
The Texas native is currently quarantining with her husband, José Bastón, and their 22-month-old son Santiago.
Like Longoria, other celebrities have also revealed that they are struggling without their hair and makeup teams. In her recent Instagram post, Kim Kardashian admitted she "missed glam." However, she was slammed by social media users as they reminded her that the world is fighting a pandemic and people are dying. One such user said, "Kim there's people in the world that are dying. No one cares if u miss glam."
