LUSAIL, QATAR: US soccer journalist Grant Wahl died on December 10, while covering the FIFA World Cup quarter-final between Argentina and Netherlands at Lusail Stadium, Qatar. Following the death of the 48-year-old, there has been an outpouring of shock and grief across the world with one saying, “Terrible to hear. RIP @GrantWahl.”

On the other, many hinted towards an alleged foul play. An individual wrote, "I’m so in shock. Rest In Peace. If there was foul play, I hope you get justice." One more commented, "This is insane. Going to be an international incident." Another said, "Grant Wahl was everything a great journalist should strive to be, and an even better person. Sincerely hope the foul play is not involved stemming from his incredible reporting on Qatar."
