Off-duty FBI agent shoots 1 dead inside Washington DC's Metro Center station, conductor hailed for saving lives

Update: The police revealed that an off-duty FBI special agent officer shot and killed someone during an altercation at Metro Center station. The cops stated that the altercation happened around 6:20 pm. Judging from a preliminary video, they gathered that one person grabbed the other. The duo who was fighting went over a side wall that lead to a drop of around eight feet, where the struggle continued. Officials said that shots were fired after the two fell, they also said the other firearm has not been recovered as yet.

Executive Assistant Chief Ashan Benedict said during a conference that the special agent was one of the people in this altercation. He said it didn’t appear that the officer initiated the struggle by grabbing the other. Benedict said that police are still processing the scene but said that it appeared for now that the off-duty agent was the “victim” of the altercation.
