Community in shock as 4 Maine college students die after car crashes into tree and EXPLODES

CASTINE, MAINE: Four college students were killed after a car crashed into a tree and burst into flames in Castine, Maine. The accident took place on Saturday, December 10. Apart from the four deceased students, three others were injured at the scene, including the driver. Those that survived were taken to the local hospital to be treated for their injuries.

ABC reports that the Maine State Police have identified the dead victims as Brian Kenealy, 20, of York, Maine; Chase Fossett, 21, of Gardiner, Maine; Luke Simpson, 22, of Rockport, Massachusetts; and Riley Ignacio-Cameron, 20, of Aquinnah, Massachusetts. The passengers were on their way south on Route 166 in a 2013 Range Rover when the car went off the road and hit a tree.
