According to the Inglewood Police Department, Jayveyon Burley, 22, was detained after officials recovered his dead daughter, Leilani, in the Los Angeles River beneath the Ocean Boulevard Bridge. At 11 pm on Sunday, December 4, Burley's mother, with whom he lives, called to report a missing person, and police soon showed up at the residence.
