The actress had a tough time dealing with her divorce from her ex-husband, Simon Konecki. According to US Weekly, “I have never been insecure, ever, about how I look, about what I want to do with myself. My mum told me to only ever do things for myself, not for others.” She also said, “Fans are encouraged that I’m not a size 0 — that you don’t have to look a certain way to do well."

In 2016, she stated in a Vogue interview, “I was trying to get some stamina for my tour, so I lost a bit of weight. Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes — which is a really big problem for me!” During the interview, she also claimed, “My body’s been objectified my entire career. Other women were having the most brutal conversations about my body. I was very f***ing disappointed with that.” She further added, "To say that weight loss is positively reinforced is the understatement of the century. Our culture is obsessed with the idea that people in small bodies are superior to people in large bodies.” However, it is confirmed that the woman in the viral video of 'Adele' is not her. The girl in the video looked similar to the singer though and this has confused many viewers of the video. 

However, the user who tweeted the video, later on clarified, "ok i realize it isn’t her now y’all can leave me alone but let’s not act like i don’t have reasons to think it was her."

'If that ain’t Adele then who is that???'

The Internet quickly reacted to the viral video. A user said, "I really did think this was her. if I didn’t read the replies I would have gone the rest of my life thinking adele did this and now I’m kinda mad it isn’t her." Another wrote, "That trip to Jamaica really had an influence on her." A tweet read, "It was funny at first thinking it was Adele and it’s even funnier that it isn’t." Another wrote ,"Can't lie had to watch this a few times just to be sure" A tweet claimed, "No but I was really almost convinced.." A user wondered, "If that ain’t Adele then who is that???."A user stated, "the way i had to look thrice to confirm." Another added, "Is this not Kehlani? Adele def doesn’t have that many tattoos on her arm lol." Another claimed, "Gurl I had to watch that videos a couple times cuz ain’t no way."
