When Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said that the hierarchy of power in DC Universe is about to change, he was not kidding, and having James Gunn as the new boss is one of the few steps that have been taken to take the franchise in a new direction. A few days after it was announced that the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director will be heading the DC Studios, along with Peter Safran, Gunn seems to have started his first day at the job on a good note.

The filmmaker shared a picture to celebrate his first day as one of the bosses and used a scene from one of the ‘Superman’ comics which saw the Man of Steel using his typewriter, remarking “Got to restrain myself…. Or I may absent-mindedly punch his typewriter into twisted wreckage!” On the other hand, Gunn captioned the photo as, “First day, new job.”
