NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Two women have filed separate lawsuits against Jeffrey Epstein's estate, accusing him of sexually assaulting them during massage sessions. The financier's estate has been sued under the Adult Survivor's Act (ASA). This litigation is considered to be the first one to be filed against the sexual offender's estate under the ASA.
Under the ASA, survivors will be provided a one-year window for cases that were deemed too old to be presented to the court. Ten other lawsuits, including cases by Jennifer Aroaz and several unnamed victims, have been filed under the Child Victims Act, reports the New York Post.

According to the court papers, the victims are identified in the documents only as Mia Doe and Naomi Doe. Both the victims claimed they were hired by a young woman to provide massage services for Epstein at his Manhattan mansion.
The New York Post reported that in 2003, Mia Doe was hired at the age of 18, while Naomi was recruited in 2005 at the age of 20, as per the court documents. Both victims accused Epstein of sexually abusing them while they were giving him massages.
Though Mia Doe claimed that she managed to break away from the pedophile's hold and never returned, the then 20-year-old Naomi Deo claimed she was abused 10 times. With no damages specified, the lawsuits filed by both the victims have named the billionaire's estate as the sole defendant.
MEAWW previously reported that Epstein was arrested for the second time on July 16, 2019, on federal charges of sex trafficking minors and transferring children for prostitution. The sex offender oversaw the trafficking in Florida and New York.
On August 10, 2019, Epstein was found dead in his jail cell. The billionaire hanged himself in his jail cell, according to a medical examiner. Following his death, the judge dismissed his criminal charges on August 29, 2019, as the possibility of pursuing federal charges against him was precluded.
With many protests and arguments that surrounded Epstein's case, it was believed by many people that the financier did not receive the punishment he deserved as he trafficked minors for more prominent sexual offenders. Ranging from politicians like Bill Clinton to business agents, and influential connections from Hollywood, Epstein reportedly had a huge circle of famous people. The names of most of Epstein's clients who have carried out these illegal acts are yet to be known to the public although it has been three years since his conviction.
