Fans hail Johnny Depp as rep DEBUNKS 'Pirates of the Caribbean' $300M comeback rumor

"Pirates of the caribbean is a dead franchise. I think Depp is already at another point in his life, he spent too much these 6 years and maybe he doesn't want to go back to Hollywood and just make other kinds of movies, I don't know," a tweet read. "The smartest thing @WaltDisneyCo could do is to bring him back. I guarantee it will come back in droves. But, I also think JD would probably tell them to shove it because he is gonna get even more with studios that did not abandon him based on one woman's words," a fan commented.

Following the heated defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp has already dived back to acting signing up for a few projects. The actor is set to essay King Louis XV in 'Jeanne Du Barry' and is also looking at a musical gig with guitarist Jeff Beck. Only time will tell if he and Disney indeed strike up a deal that sees him return as Sparrow.
