'He's too extreme for Parler': Kanye West trolled as Parler drops him amid antisemitic rhetoric
Kanye West will no longer be acquiring social media site Parler, the company confirmed in a statement. “This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November,” Parler said in a statement, according to Bloomberg. “Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community.”
In October, West had agreed to buy the app for an amount that was undisclosed. Parler has attempted to portray itself as a right-wing alternative to Twitter. West's account has suspended by Twitter shortly before he said he was set to buy Parler. “In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” West said in a statement released by Parler at the time. West's account was later restored.
