MOSCOW, IDAHO: A former FBI profiler has reportedly said that the theory about University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves being the killer's target may not be true. The murders of the four University of Idaho students have shaken the collective conscience of the community. In the early morning hours of November 13, 2022, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, were stabbed to death in an off-campus three-story rented home. Law enforcement is yet to identify the suspect(s) in the case. Authorities have said that the gory scene where the students were killed was the “worst they’ve ever seen."

Speaking of speciations around Goncalves being the target, Gregg McCrary, a former FBI profiler, said, "We have to be careful that we don't overinterpret the information." Goncalves’ injuries were “significantly more brutal” than the other victims, according to NewsNation’s Brian Entin. Her parents have also claimed the way Mogen and she were killed on November 13 "don’t match".
