On ITV's 'Lorraine' Philip stated, "I witnessed nothing but her as a great mother to her sons, very hands-on. When Sean Preston was born in 2006, I was taking care of him with her, and we would go to the zoo, playground - I have never seen her be nothing less than amazing with her kids. She's very hands-on. The 'Gimme More' singer reclaimed control of her million-dollar wealth and various elements of her life after a 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father Jamie Spears was ended in November 2021. Philip continued, saying that while the family has the "right" to express their emotions, he disagrees with Kevin for airing them and that doing so will "not help" the situation.

"The kids have a right to their feelings, but I don't agree with Kevin putting them on '60 Minutes Australia' - if there is any concern about her - doing something with Kevin now is not going to help," Philip said. The 'Womanizer' singer, who married Iranian-American model, Sam Asghari, 28, in June but chose not to include her parents or sister at the wedding, is "more professional" than most folks understand, according to Philip, who also expressed confidence that she will eventually return "with a bang."

Philip said, "This woman is more professional than anyone knows, her ability to perform is insane. She is going to come back with a bang. I think everything will come together eventually." Many Spears supporters on Twitter slammed Federline's ITV interview, with one user tweeting in all caps wrote, "Kevin Federline out here doing interviews when the only interview he needs to be doing if for a job." 

Another person condemns the unemployed Federline wrote, "Kevin Federline is a whole b***h for turning those kids away from their mom. Jayden and Sean, your mother was subjected to abuse. That conservatorship was dang near modern day slavery. Have some respect and know why you're able to live as well as you do. It's not your broke dad." 

Federline's hypocrisy was highlighted by a third person, who wrote, "Kevin Federline giving his children a pass to shame their mother for posing nude on social media... but he has his minor children in nothing but a towel on TV??" Fans have developed a closer kinship with Spears as a result of the disclosure of the full 13-year conservatorship that her father Jamie Spears supervised. It seems that any criticism of Spears will only evoke a protective emotion from her supporters.
