GOODISON PARK, UNITED KINGDOM: The Manchester United striker who was slammed for "assaulting" Jacob Harding, an autistic boy at Goodison Park last season received a warning following the incident. Sarah Kelly, 37, mother of Jacob Harding decided to speak out after Ronaldo accepted the warning. "Arrogant" Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly slammed and broke her teenage son Jacob Harding’s phone on the ground. Later during a phone call with Ronaldo himself, the woman claims she sobbed.

After his team was defeated by Everton, the champion seemed to smack Jacob Harding's hand as he walked off the field. According to reports, the boy's hand was left bruised. Later, Ronaldo expressed his regret by apologizing to the 14-year-old boy.

The Portuguese celebrity was questioned by authorities in reference to an alleged assault and criminal damage earlier this month while under duress. Merseyside Police later confirmed, "The matter has been dealt with by way of conditional caution. The matter has now concluded."

However, Sarah alleges she feels "duped" and that Ronaldo hasn't even offered to replace the broken phone, according to the Sun. In the days following the encounter, the player supposedly called her, but she claims the call left her "shaking and crying" due to his attitude. During the conversation, Ronaldo allegedly said he hadn't "kicked or punched anybody."

Sarah said, "I was raging and my heart was pumping". She added, “It was disgusting. My boy has a heart of gold." Sarah claimed she was scared to leave her house. “I’m scared to leave the house, always looking over my shoulder." She claims that she will now file a lawsuit. “I want to see justice because there hasn’t been any," she said.

Jacob told the paper, "I looked up to him but he didn’t set an example that day.” It is believed that Ronaldo has consented to compensate Jacob and his mother. Back in April, Man Utd management said that no action would be taken. The ace's apology was received favorably by the chiefs, it is said.

Ronaldo stated in an internet post, “It’s never easy to deal with emotions in difficult moments such as the one we are facing. Nevertheless, we always have to be respectful, patient and set the example for all the youngsters who love the beautiful game. I would like to apologise for my outburst and, if possible, I would like to invite this supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of fair-play and sportsmanship.”

The incident took place after the Red Devils' embarrassing loss to struggling Everton. Ronaldo looked visibly upset as he left the field.
