'I want it too': Margot Robbie PUSHES for Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy's comic romance to come live
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the 2020 'Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey', we saw how four years after the defeat of the Enchantress, the Joker breaks up with Harley Quinn, throwing her out on the Gotham City streets. Although she ain't homeless because she is taken in by Doc, the owner of a Taiwanese restaurant, and recovers from her relationship by cutting her hair and adopting a spotted hyena who she named Bruce Wayne. After much anticipation, Harley blows up the Ace Chemicals plant as a way to publicly announce her breakup with Joker because their relationship started there when the latter saved her after she jumped in the paint.
However, it is time for a new chapter. It is time for Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn to get into a new relationship with Poison Ivy. As introduced in the DC comics, we are accustomed to the fact of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy being in a relationship that turns out to be healthy for her. The movie moved Robbie's Quinn away from the darker, damsel-in-distress tone that she had taken on in 'Suicide Squad', and turned her into more of a fun-loving, strong, independent character, as she often appears in the comics.
