'I'll get rich and famous': Meghan Markle reveals childhood ambition as she visits school for Netflix show

Meghan read aloud a letter from the old book she sent to her former principal, Debby, when she was eleven years old. She greeted Debby with a hearty hug and read from the note, "I can't thank you enough. Even though I was at this school for ten years I wish I could have stayed for ten more. PS when I am rich and famous and I write my life story, I will talk about you and the school so you will be known worldwide."

According to Express UK, After reading the note and laughing, Meghan claimed that she was smart and not "the pretty one" at school. She said, "My entire identity was wrapped up in being the smart one" and how, at the age of 11, she fought to get a dishwashing advertisement modified because she thought it was sexist. In school, Meghan identified herself as "the little activist."

After Meghan and Harry retired from their roles as working royals in 2020, their relationship with the royal family has become strained. Harry and Meghan are releasing a six-episode Netflix documentary on why they resigned from their duties as active royals after a significant interview with Oprah Winfrey in which they claimed the royal family was racist. The documentary, which features interviews with Meghan's mother Doria, and Meghan's former agent, is anticipated to discuss the criticism they faced after leaving the royal family. Netflix has released Volume I's episodes 1-3 on December 8 while Volume II's episodes 4-6 will be released on December 15.
