Michigan jail inmate shares rap video from prison on YouTube, Internet says 'Just can't believe this'

Another user wrote, “Great Song!!! Sorry to hear about all the water on the floor and they can’t do anything about it!!! Yes, you are serving time for doing wrong but they don’t have to treat you as Animals!! That prison needs to have Respect!!! Great video/Awesome song!!!”

“Michigan's Department of Corrections are threatening to add five years to their prison sentences, and put them in solitary confinement. That's inhumane, and isn't right – no-one deserves to be persecuted, just for making music. Stay strong gents – and congrats on your musical talent,” yet another user remarked. 

Earlier, On Tuesday, November 29, the Detroit Free Press reported that state prison officials and the Michigan State Police launched an investigation following the discovery of the video, as cellphones and cameras are banned inside the facility. Currently, investigators are attempting to ascertain how the men obtained the phones. The names of the guys in the video are being withheld by MDOC, however, according to FOX News, one of them had been found guilty of second-degree murder and the other of armed robbery. 

One of the two had previously served time at the Muskegon Correctional Facility after being found guilty twice of having illegal prisoners' property. Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Chris Gautz said in a statement, “It’s incredibly dangerous [to have phones inside state prisons], especially with the capability of getting onto the internet because they can be used to arrange escapes, harass witnesses, or place ‘hits’ on people inside or outside the prison.”
