Get ready to enter the dreamscape again as the ruler of dreaming is returning with full force. After receiving positive reviews from critics as well as audiences for Season 1, Netflix has given fans a wonderful surprise by announcing that ‘The Sandman’ will be returning for another season on the streaming platform. Based on the comic book written by Neil Gaiman, the series sees Morpheus, the personification of dreams, captured in an occult ritual in 1916 and kept inside a glass house that seems unbreakable. After being held captive for 106 years, Dream escapes and sets out to restore order to his realm.

The news was confirmed on social media by Gaiman himself and he also shared a brief and evocative teaser featuring the titular character’s Helm of Dreams and, obviously, plenty of sand. As per Netflix, the new episodes will see Morpheus facing different challenges this time around. With the forces of hell already on the move, Morpheus will have to overcome all the challenges and place everything in order.
