Alabama woman stunned after finding ASHES of 13 people in auctioned funeral director's storage unit

BALDWIN COUNTY, ALABAMA: A woman who won the contents of two abandoned storage units in Alabama was left stupefied after she discovered the remains of over a dozen people amongst the items. The woman who identified herself only as Rebekah bought two storage units for $30 at a mobile facility. Afterward, she loaded up the furniture and boxes inside and brought them home to Baldwin County. She was stunned when the cremated remains of 13 people were found inside the containers by her and her husband.

“That was one of the farthest things from my mind when I thought about doing an auction for a storage unit. I didn’t ever think that” she told KFOR. Rebekah and her husband were not bothered initially that it was a funeral director's unit, but when they opened it, that changed quickly. “We realized it was a funeral director’s unit. That was no big deal for me. He was like, ‘What’s this?’ And then I looked and I was like, ‘Well, that’s cremated remains,'” Rebekah told Nexstar’s WKRG.
