Roger Federer trumps Serena Williams in epic clash, clicks 'greatest selfie of all time'

Even though Roger Federer emerged victorious in the Hopman Cup, his meeting and match with Serena Williams made history. The two legendary tennis stars gave fans an unforgettable experience as they battled it out head to head.

Federer and Belinda Bencic beat Williams and Frances Tiafoe in a mixed doubles match. Both Serena and Roger won their singles matches before the mixed doubles game. However, the result did not really matter to fans who had eagerly been waiting for the historic match. Federer and Williams were seen leaving the court with big smiles on their faces. Their match had been titled as the most anticipated clash involving men and women since the 1973 'Battle of the sexes'.

In the 'Battle of the sexes', Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggs while playing an exhibition match. Although that turned out to be more of a grudge match, this game saw Federer and Williams exude nothing but mutual respect and admiration for each other. The pair even posed for selfies together post the game and clicked what people are calling, the "greatest selfie of all time".
