Internet rejoices as Sarah Huckabee Sanders beats Chris Jones to become Arkansas' first female gov
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Republican candidate and former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was elected Arkansas governor on Tuesday, November 8. With her victory, she became the first woman to lead the state. She is now also the highest profile Donald Trump administration official in elected office.

In Sanders' predominantly Republican home state, she defeated Democratic nominee Chris Jones in the race for governor. Numerous people have favored Sanders to win, including Libertarian nominee Ricky Dale Harrington.
