Serena Williams sports athletic figure-shaping brown dress as she announces new partnership at LA event
Serena Williams was seen celebrating a partnership between the Yetunde Price Resource Center (YPRC) and the Apartment List on October 3 in Los Angeles.
Williams was seen sporting a burnt brown sienna dress which featured a small slit up the leg as well as silver buttons that were on the side of the dress. She accessorized her outfit with a small gold necklace with a tiny pendant that read the word 'Sexy.' She also wore a silver watch.
She decided to finish off her look with a pair of thigh-high black heeled boots and also wore a shawl that had the letters SW on her shoulders. She had her curly hair pulled back and styled into a ponytail.
The tennis legend had attended the event which had taken place at Harriet's Rooftop in West Hollywood to help celebrate the resource center's new Home Bridge program. The program would help provide "safe and secure housing to individuals and families in need."
The Yetunde Price Resource Center had been founded by Serena and her sister Venus Williams. It was named after their younger sister Yetunde Price who was killed in 2003. The center "ensures that anyone who has been impacted by violence, directly or indirectly, can access the resources they need to flourish physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially."
Apartment List had contacted the center and provided apartments where YPRC families in need can live rent-free for a year while they receive additional resources from the center. YPRC member Bonnie Morrison said, "Every day I wake up feeling like a superstar. Words cannot truly describe the day that I entered my new apartment that was provided through YPRC, Apartment List and Equity Residential."
The event was also attended by the likes of therapist Kellee Kemp, Jair Bobbitt, Justina Nixon-Santil, and Shaden Abboushi amongst several others.
