Shannon Epstein: Chris Christie's niece kicked off flight after accusing family of 'smuggling cocaine'
JEFFERSON PARISH, LOUISIANA: Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie's niece Shannon Epstein, 25, was arrested and kicked off an airplane after she allegedly accused a family of "smuggling cocaine". She allegedly turned violent on a Spirit Airlines aircraft from New Orleans to New Jersey, injuring six sheriff's deputies, one of who was bitten during the confrontation.
In order to get Epstein off the plane, seven sheriff's deputies had to shackle her to a wheelchair. “She even threatened the officers trying to get her off the plane, saying her uncle is friends with former President Donald Trump and she knows some powerful people,” Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Captain Jason Rivarde told NOLA. She is currently facing charges for six counts of battery on a police officer, three counts of disturbing the peace, one act of forcefully resisting arrest and one offense of staying in a place where she was not supposed to. On Thanksgiving Day, the foul-mouthed niece was freed from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Facility after paying a $10,750 bail. The next court date for her is scheduled on January 23.
