MOBILE, ALABAMA: Earlier this year, a little hero emerged as he took on the heroic responsibility of saving his little sister from being hit by a car. On January 18, six-year-old Kayden Reid and his two-year-old sister, Kaycee were at a family event when unbeknownst to anyone, the toddler slipped out of the house, towards the street.

Playing on the sidewalk, Kayden noticed his sister on the street and suddenly saw an oncoming car. To save his sister from harm's way, he quickly jumped into action. While the toddler was unharmed, Kayden suffered a collision with the car instead, reports Yahoo! Life. Fortunately, his injuries were minor and he was quickly discharged from the local hospital, after which he was greeted with a welcome fit for a hero. Little Kaycee celebrated her second birthday over the same weekend, and things could have turned out differently had it not been for her older brother.
