LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: At about 10.30 am Monday, December 12, Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, a longtime executive producer of Ellen's show, checked into room 249 of the Oak Tree Inn in Encino. The hotel manager said the startled maid discovered DJ from Ellen DeGeneres' show had shot himself in a Los Angeles hotel room.

According to the hotel staff at the Oak Tree Inn, Boss was found in a pool of blood in the room bathroom where he was staying. “He went into his room, and he never came out,” the manager, Rakesh, told Daily Mail. “At 11.15 am on Tuesday, the maid opened the door to check on the room. There was his stuff in there but no one there. She checked the bathroom, and there was blood everywhere. She was very scared. This is the first time anything like that has happened here. We called 911, they told us to check his pulse but there was nothing. The paramedics and the police came, and they said he was dead.” Nobody in the crew or among the guests heard the noise of a gunshot, according to Rakesh who wished to be recognized by his first name. “Maybe he did it during the day on Monday. It’s a busy, loud road outside here, it’s possible nobody heard it because of that,” he said.
