WHAT IF: 'Stranger Things' and 'Deadpool' crossover? Shawn Levy says 'it's on the table'
Crossovers aren't novel in Hollywood, but what happens when a merc with a mouth decides to be part of an 80s-themed horror show that will go down as a cult classic? Believe it or not, a 'Deadpool' and 'Stranger Things' crossover might happen if Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds figure out a way to make it work. The former isn't ruling it out, so it's hard to believe if this actually a running joke.
Per a Variety report, Levy outlined the plan of developing a 'Stranger Things Cinematic Universe' and also highlighted the time he spent with Marvel Studios head honcho, Kevin Feige. “Yes, we are building out the STCU, and now that I’m spending time with [chief creative officer of Marvel Entertainment] Kevin Feige, I’m learning a lot about how to manage a universe,” he explained. “So I’m taking those skills and applying them to the STCU.” In addition to producing the hit Netflix horror drama, Levy is also set to helm the third Deadpool film.
