'Stranger Things' Season 5: Script writing offically underway for the final season of Netflix's hit horror drama

Netflix's 'Stranger Things' Season 5 is officially up and running. The writers' team took to Twitter with the caption 'Day 1'  marking the start of the script writing of the final season of the retro horror series. Ahead of the Season 4 premiere, The Duffer Brothers confirmed that the show will call curtains down with a fifth season.

“There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes,” they said. “But first we hope you stay with us as we finish this tale.” This hinted that there was more content in store. Per a Deadline report, the next slate of projects includes a live-action Stranger Things spinoff series based on an original idea. Season 4 saw the heroes face off against Vecna/001, a powerful enemy who has a complicated relationship with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown)  and Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine).
