'The Flash' Season 8 Episode 2: Is Joe West dead? SHOCKING death changes everything

During Episode 3, we see the discussion happening between the duo and Barry says that “injustice” has been done. He tries to make him understand that whatever is happening to him is being done by someone else and wants him to be the bad person. Barry wants Jefferson to be there for him because each of the superheroes chose one from the team to be their helper whenever there is injustice.

After going through every scenario, Barry believes that it is time for Jefferson to take his powers back so that he can’t do anything lethal. Jefferson Pierce uses his lightning to take away his powers, but the process is still going on when he tells Jefferson about Despero and the future he has seen. The scene has been shot beautifully and the VFX looks really amazing in that particular scene.

Jefferson is quite annoyed after learning that Barry is giving up his powers because someone said that he’s going to destroy the world. Jefferson denies taking Barry’s powers back, but Barry is agitated and attacks him for ignoring the protocols.

The duo goes into a fight as The Flash suggested that if one of the team members goes rogue, the world doesn’t stand a chance. However, everything changes when Despero arrives there and the duo fights him. Iris also reaches there and says her father might be alive because she believes that someone messed up the timeline. As we reach the final moments of the episode, we see Barry Allen reaching 2031 to see the future and to his horror, he sees Eobard Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) engaged to Iris West and everybody, including Cecile, is happy about it.

This is where the episode ends and it seems like the seeds of madness are starting to sown into Barry’s mind. He lost Joe and now, he is about to lose the love of his life as well. However, the entire scenario between Thawne, Iris, and Barry will give an interesting storyline for the episodes to come because Barry has seen Iris getting engaged to Thawne and what will happen when he’ll come to the present world and tell Iris all about it.

The latest episode sets the perfect foundation for an enthralling season ahead. The first three episodes have been fantastic and they have been everything that fans wanted them to be. All in all, this season is turning out to be better than the last three ones.
