'The Umbrella Academy' Season 2 teases full extent of the Hargreeves siblings' powers in just Episode 1

Netflix's 'The Umbrella Academy' Season 2 is finally here and it is so worth the wait. With an absolutely brilliant opening to Episode 1 'Right Back Where We Started', the season is a captivating watch from the beginning all the way to the end. After their emergency time jump at the end of Season 1, the Hargreeves siblings are deposited in the same alley in Dallas, Texas in different years starting with 1960. Number Five / The Boy (Aidan Gallagher) is the last to arrive, dropping in in the middle of a Soviet invasion of America.
That opening also gives us a tease of the full extent of what the Hargreeves siblings are actually capable of. Turns out, all the superpowered hijinks we saw in Season 1 barely even scratched the surface of the Academy's abilities and the full picture is mindblowing, literally. For example, remember how Allison Hargreeves / Number Three / The Rumor (Emmy Raver-Lampman) can mind control people into doing what she wants? Turns out she can do a whole lot more with her voice than push minds.
