'Treat your people with dignity': UPS slammed after delivery driver collapses due to extreme heat
It's getting hot in here! As Arizona battles extreme temperatures, a UPS delivery driver was seen stumbling and falling over on a porch. The incident happened in Scottsdale as the UPS driver approached a home on Thursday. The delivery driver was seen stumbling and slowly keeling over and ultimately settling on the resident's front patio to catch some air. Since the video was released, many people have raised their concerns about the driver who was seen struggling in the extreme heat.
Brian Enriquez, the resident of the home, shared the video with KPNX and explained that he was at work on Thursday when the incident occurred. The footage was captured by the ring doorbell system, but he couldn't get to the doorbell notification as he was at work. Enriquez said, "I was concerned for the fact that he was coming, stumbling to the door. Had I gotten to my phone sooner, I could have talked to him through my Ring [doorbell] but he had already left the property at that point." The video shows the driver, who remains unidentified, walking to the porch with an envelope. Within a blink, he starts stumbling, and soon he's seen sitting on the porch as if he's out of breath. He later gets up, rings the doorbell, and leaves. Enriquez played his part right as he contacted Scottsdale Police for a welfare check and also attempted to contact UPS.
