The kinky category saw a 75 per cent increase in viewers, with the company stating that their top searches are “often influenced by pop culture and other worldwide events,” reported Pornhub. Furthermore, terms such as “blowjob,” “cosplay” and “trans” also saw considerable search growth in 2022. Americans spent an average of 9 minutes 41 seconds on the website while reporting a decrease of -3 seconds in 2022. The site shared its exclusive data on America's viewing habits, showing residents in Utah were more likely to search for 'Mormon' porn, while erotic Oregon viewers searched for 'furry' more than those in other states. Texans mostly searched for the term 'panties' on a more frequent basis.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin shared interest in the buzzword 'pegging' and 'stepmom' in Ohio. Interestingly, Washington state got its own shout-out because users average time decreased by –79 seconds. Floridian Abella Danger, 27, rose up the ranks to become America’s most popular porn star of 2022, overtaking last year’s most-searched, Lana Rhoades who has quit porn and turned into a fashion designer, fell to second place. Followed by Riley Reid, Violet Myers and amorous Aussie Angela White circling out the top five most popular porn stars across the US.

The former pornstar Rhoades who joined the infamous adult industry when she was just 19 has now declared she is "asexual" adding that she wants porn to be "illegal." Sharing her viewpoint Rhoades said, "How should a 19-year-old girl be put in that position having to have sex with people that they don't really don't want to touch their body at all," MEAWW previously reported. "Going back to porn, I just I don't think that it's good for anyone they should make it illegal." She acknowledged that she doesn't "find people attractive" or "hook up" frequently, and she said, "Honestly, I'm pretty much asexual," she added.

However, Porhub noted that Sunday was the most popular day during which Americans spent on 'me time,' streaming naughty content. But there was a noticeable fall in traffic across the country on New Year’s Day with 24 per cent fewer visitors.
