THIS 1943 video shows the utter tosh behind Prince Harry and Meghan Markle calling Britain racist

Responding to the assertions of racism, author Ben Obese-Jecty tweeted a clip from the 1943 WW2 US Army film ‘A Welcome to Britain’ that featured a segment explaining to American troops that there was no segregation in the UK and that they shouldn't be surprised to see white women talking to black soldiers. Considering, the post appeared to hold the Sussexes' feet to the fire for calling Britain "racist" while residing in the US, where segregation and discrimination prevailed for a lot longer. According to the Daily Mail, the new Netflix docuseries suggested that nothing had changed from UK's colonial past apart from the Royal Family's "better PR." It also dragged the UK's departure from the EU into the discussion, as Harry insisted the series was not "just about our story." This was followed by visuals pointing to racism being a major factor behind the Brexit vote and suggestions that the political climate was hostile to the prospect of Meghan becoming a royal.

"So the EU commissioned a report in 2016, exactly the same time that our relationship became public," Harry told producers. "It warned that if the government wasn't going to do something, or if the media aren't going to sort themselves out, that a culture war that had already existed was going to become huge and become a real problem." The same episode saw Meghan claim that she felt a shift in treatment after moving to the UK. "At that time, I wasn't thinking about how race played a part in any of this," she told interviewers. "I genuinely didn't think about it. It's very different to be a minority but not be treated as a minority right off the bat...I'd say now, people are very aware of my race because they made it such an issue when I went to the UK. But before that, most people didn't treat me like a 'black woman.' So that talk didn't happen for me," she alleged.

At one point, the documentary cited reports about the Princess Michael of Kent wearing a 'Blackamoor-style' brooch to the Queen's annual Christmas lunch -- which was deemed "racist." Harry subsequently said, "In this family, sometimes you are part of the problem rather than part of the solution. There is a huge level of unconscious bias. The thing with unconscious bias, it is actually no one's fault. But once it has been pointed out, or identified within yourself you then need to make it right." He added, "It is education. It is awareness. It is a constant work in progress for everybody, including me."

Both Harry and Meghan were excoriated on social media for the controversial comments.

"Disgusting how they’re repeatedly trying to brand Britain a racist country. Most tolerant place in Europe, as all the coverage of their engagement/wedding showed," journalist Piers Morgan tweeted.

"As a country as a whole can we sue Harry and Meghan for defaming us as British for being racists and making false allegations?" one Twitter user wondered, adding, "As a tax-paying Brit, I want to sue for damages for their farce of a wedding only to be told we’re (I) are racist."

"So Meghan and Harry can lay all blame for their unpopularity on the ‘racist’, Brexit-supporting British public; but they are allowed to lie their heads off in an official interview on our state broadcaster before they even got married and we’re not supposed to mind?" another wrote.

"And now we get to the point where Meghan’s mother decided that the British press were racist and Meghan and Harry can see nothing but racism in every word said. This is pathetic. Meghan is a grifter. Nobody cares about her race, but her and Harry!" someone else offered.
