Who is Caitlin Clark? Iowa Hawkeyes player shoots STUNNING 3-pointers finishing with 45 points alone
IOWA CITY, IOWA: The breathtaking match between Iowa Hawkeyes and North Carolina State on December 1, 2022, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena was a spectacular view for the fans of both teams. One particular aspect of the match was Caitlin Clark who was in absolute beast mode and was scoring ridiculous three-pointers. With this fixture, she scored her fifth career 40-point scoring game for Iowa, even though her team lost.
The 22-year-old basketball player scored 45 points alone and the Hawkeyes lost ot NC State 94-81 loss at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Even after an impressive solo score, she was critical of her team's defense and told ESPN, "I think whenever I score 40 points, we lose. So it's not something I want to do."The point guard finished with 45 points which is the most scored this season by a Division I women's player. Clark went on to criticize the defense even further and quipped, "Only 10 [team] assists tonight, and that's not Iowa basketball. We could have run our offense better. We could have gotten Monika [Czinano] the ball better. Then we scored, but we couldn't get stops. We didn't play defense. I think it's pretty simple. We could have scored more than 90 points, and we still would have lost the game. It comes down to defense, and we know that."
