Cedric McMillan, a champion bodybuilder, died at the age of 44 on Wednesday, April 13. McMillan died of a heart attack while on the treadmill. The athlete had been suffering from Covid-19 complications including heart difficulties and pneumonia for a long time. However, the specifics of his cardiac problems remain unknown to the general public. Confirming his death, McMillan's sponsor, Black Skull USA, posted on Instagram, "We regret to inform you that our friend and brother Cedric McMillan passed away today. Cedric will be greatly missed as an athlete, comrade, friend, and father.”

Cedric, who was born on August 17, 1977, was one of the most prominent bodybuilders of the twenty-first century, with a classic physique that takes us back to the golden age of bodybuilding.  As a child, he was fascinated with powerful physiques and looked up to Arnold Schwarzenegger for inspiration. He was a strong open-division bodybuilder with eight Pro victories and many top-five finishes in major contests. His most memorable victory came at the 2017 Arnold Classic in Ohio, when he met and was lauded by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
