Who is Faizon Love? Actor slams $223K reparation for Black people saying it will just go to 'CADILLAC'
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA: Actor Faizon Love, 54, lashed out at the notion that Black people in California will be given $223,000 in reparations. He reportedly claimed that this money would be only used for purchasing high-ended luxury cars.
According to Daily Mail, he said, "F*** that. That's another trick man because that money's gonna go right back to Cadillac and right back to Mercedes Benz." His opinion comes in after Governor Gavin Newsom urged the federal government to pay every African American in the country at least $223,000 for "housing discrimination" - while continuing to probe other areas for compensation.

Love also offered an alternative to monetary reparations. He suggested that Black people should be tax-exempt for life. The 54-year-old actor claimed they were treated as slaves during the Civil War. He also discussed how the US government initiated the federal income tax during Civil War for Black people to meet the war requirements. However, according to Daily Mail, Chair of California Reparations Committee Kamilah V Moore said in an interview on Tuesday, December 13, that the $223,000 figure being reported does not only apply to Black people but also to any person who faced housing discrimination between 1933 and 1972.
