Will Lamar Odom's 'Celebrity Big Brother' stint help him get back in the limelight?
Lamar Odom had a successful career as a professional basketball player, and gained celebrity status as the husband of Khloe Kardashian. However, his marriage ended in ignominy after infidelity led to his divorce from the 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' star.
Now he is one of the participants in CBS's 'Celebrity Big Brother'.
The show will feature several celebrity faces who will be living together and competing for the grand prize. During his high schooling, Lamar received national player of the year honors from Parade in 1997. Los Angeles Clippers selected Odom with the fourth overall pick in the very first round of the 1999 NBA draft. During his four seasons with the Clippers, Odom was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team. However, the sportsperson was suspended twice for violating the league's anti-drug policy.
