The signing at the White House was a celebration for supporters of the measure and a massive win for the LGBTQ community. To commemorate the occasion, Biden invited an NYC drag artist, Marti G Cummings. While Biden made history yet again, people were worried about the choice of guest due to Cummings' previous tweets allegedly targeting children and the police, as per Fox News.
While talking about the invitation and a win for the LGBTQ community, Cummings took to Twitter and wrote, "To be a non-binary drag artist invited to the White House is something I never imagined would happen. Thank you President & Dr. Biden for inviting me to this historic bill signing. Grateful doesn’t begin to express the emotions I feel." However, there is outrage due to Cummings' alleged previous tweets as one of them read, "The kids are out to sing and suck d!" Back in 2020, she also talked about defunding police in an explosive tweet, as per the news outlet. People are now wondering whether Cummings was the right person to be in the White House or not.
