'Harry & Meghan': Will Royal household respond to the accusations?

It is speculated that Harry and Meghan have a lot more claims and accusations to make than what is shown in the teaser and trailer. "There’s a real feeling in the camp that Harry and Meghan are making a lot of noise and there isn’t much more to say," a source told Mirror. It is further reported that the royal household is prepared for "all the outcomes," whether it be good or bad. Well, the latter is most probably to rule. The officials of both Buckingham and Kensington Palace will watch the first three episodes, scheduled to release on Thursday. However, in spite of issuing a response instantly, the officials will wait for the second half of the six-episode-long show to release.

It is understood that the Prince of Wales and his wife will not be watching the Netflix documentary. But, King and Prince William have reportedly claimed that they will not step aside from making a "robust" response if any "unjustified" allegations or accusations damaging the reputation of the monarchy are made. Daily Mail reports the Prince of Wales and his father claiming, "If there is a need to respond to anything in the upcoming series then you can be assured that response will be swift and robust." Both Buckingham and Kensington palace have denied Netflix's approach to them for the allegations featured in the series.

Furthermore, Daily Mail reports a former member of staff claiming that the footage used in the trailer of press harassment of the Duke and Duchess was shot at completely "unrelated" events. But on the other hand, Peter Grimsdale, former BBC and Chanel 4 commissioning editor said to The Times that if the clips are "misleading," the lawyers would have already made their move ahead of the release of the trailer. Grimsdale said, "It’s almost hard-wired into us to make sure we know where every shot comes from because that’s the sort of thing that if there was complaints about it, you would be in real trouble." He further added that these mistakes do not happen "99.9 percent of the time" because everyone checks the facts. 

It remains to be seen how royal household members will react to 'Harry & Meghan'. Netflix’s ‘Harry & Meghan’ will release on Netflix on December 8. The first volume will have three episodes followed by another three in Volume II, scheduled to release on December 15.
