The 24-year-old soccer player scored the lone goal of the entire match before the first half ended in the 38th minute on Tuesday, November 29. USMNT stormed into the 2022 World Cup last 16 with a fantastic assist by Sergino Dest who raided the ball into the nets putting a long-lasting silence on the rowdy Iranian supporters. However, Pulisic rammed into Iran's goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand. Even though he returned to the field a while after receiving treatment, he was soon called off as he had sustained an abdominal injury causing a major concern for the team at this crucial stage. Regardless, the fans were ecstatic about this goal and hailed Pulisic as their Captain America who helped his team reach the knockout stage.
