LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change,” said Dwayne Johnson before ‘Black Adam’ hit theatres. A lot of people believed that the aforementioned movie gives a new direction to DC and will play a crucial role in DC to a whole new level. However, everything changed when the movie came out and didn’t turn out to be a blockbuster hit. Meanwhile, all the things that have happened at DC Studios have made one thing clear — no project is safe and can be canceled at any time if it doesn’t meet the management’s new strategy. It seems all the drama has made Dwayne Johnson feel that DC might be moving in the wrong direction and it’s better for him to stay away from the studio's controversies. Maybe, that’s why he decided to unfollow the official accounts of ‘Black Adam’ and ‘Warner Bros-Discovery’ on social media.

The actor who made his debut in the superhero genre with ‘Black Adam’ has unfollowed the official Instagram accounts of the movie mentioned above and the production house that created it. As we scrolled through Johnson’s followers' list on the image-sharing platform, we noticed that both accounts were following Johnson, but the actor wasn’t following them and although it’s too early to speculate what could have triggered him, it seems he has already given up on ‘Black Adam’ after the decision of keeping Henry Cavill away from ‘Superman’ franchise.

When ‘Black Adam’ got released, everybody was really excited to see Cavill donning the iconic costume again, which made fans believe that he will be playing the comic-book character once again in the DC Universe. The actor himself noted that he was coming back as the Man of Steel and whatever fans would see in ‘Black Adam’ would be nothing in front of what was being planned. On the other hand, Johnson had noted that he needed Cavill to come back as Superman and stated that he won’t make the movie without his version of Superman.
