Lakers' Kendrick Nunn labeled 'most useless player' of NBA after series of dismal outings

Lakers fans on Twitter did not hide their anger at Nunn. One of them wrote, "I can't believe Kendrick Nunn ruined this iconic moment with the biggest brick of all time." "Kendrick Nunn has shot 0% from the field in 6 games this season. They've only played 13 games this season," another fumed.

Meanwhile, one Twitter user wrote, "Kendrick Nunn is quite literally the most useless player i've ever seen in my life. If that d**khead is not hitting shots, then he has no purpose being out on the floor."

Nunn began both of the Lakers' most recent games as a starter, but he will move back to the bench on Wednesday as Patrick Beverley re-enters the starting lineup. In last Monday's defeat to the Jazz, Nunn had his most fruitful performance since the start of the season, scoring 18 points in 27 minutes of play. 

Nunn's second NBA season got off to a poor start because of a groin issue he had to cope with in the preseason. He played sparingly through January. Nunn was promoted to the starting five after Goran Dragic suffered an ankle injury in early February, and he played in all 42 of the remaining games in that position. The 6-foot-2 guard averaged per-game totals that were quite similar to those he had as a rookie: 14.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.2 three-pointers, and 0.6 steals. Nunn's field goal and three-point shooting accuracy increased to 48.5 percent and 38.1 percent, respectively, as a result of his improved shooting skills. Although he only made it to the free-throw line once, he also made 93.3 percent of his efforts, as per reported by Rotowire.
